A Step-By-Step Guide To Selecting Your Best 3 Wheel Pushchair

Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain pushchair that offers light weight and excellent maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold means it's lightweight and freestanding when folded. The padded seat reclines into an almost flat position and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. The suitability for newborns is yes it comes with a carrycot (not suitable for sleeping overnight).

Good suspension and air-filled tyres will handle rough terrain well. It's also suitable for jogging but you must wait until your baby is six or nine months old for this.

Ickle Bubba XL Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is a great option for parents looking for an easy-to-use buggy that has enhanced features. The travel system comes with a lie flat carrycot for infants as well as an adjustable rear and forward facing seat for a pushchair.

The XL Air is a really impressive buggy and it's easy to see why it has been awarded so many praises from customers. It's incredibly light - both the wheels and chassis weigh just 6.5kg - and it's also super-easy to construct. In fact I was able to complete the entire setup and running in less than five minutes, which is pretty amazing considering that it also included a strapping of the fabric for the carrycot!

It has a nice, wide seat that was comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is simple to use. There's plenty of space in the basket too and I am awestruck by the fact that it has a zip-up compartment in the handle bar so you can keep your keys and phone safe!

The only slight downside is the handlebar is low, which could be an issue for parents who are taller. It's covered in soft, supple leather-like material that is easy to clean.

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is made for sporty parents who are eager to get outside and explore. The large pneumatic wheels are able to be used on field and forest paths. The front wheel is lockable and swivels to allow for greater flexibility. It also comes with a padded 5-point safety harness and front bar to ensure your child is secure on all journeys and the parking brake reliably prevents the stroller from moving even when you rest. The seat can be adjusted to lay flat and the canopy can be opened to allow for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be height-adjusted by more than 30 cm to accommodate dad's or mom's heights.

The Runner will accompany you on all your adventures, whether it's a quick run, a more strenuous hike, or a long-distance walk. It has a fully-flat lay-flat seat with suspension air wheels to ensure a smooth ride. The front wheel can be locked for greater stability when walking on narrow streets or busy sidewalks. The stroller can also be folded up to fit in car boot spaces and storage areas.

Some parents have found the Runner 2 to be a little more difficult to navigate than its predecessor, and the locking mechanism is less user-friendly (requiring two buttons on the opposite side of the push bar). The handlebars are higher than some competitors, which means they may not be suitable for shorter parents. However, this stroller is sturdy and versatile and is a good option by families with active children.

Red Kite Push Me Pace

The Pace is a different great product from Red Kite, an affordable British brand which prides itself on making well-designed and no-fuss essentials for parents. It's their latest and the most expensive addition to the stroller line that is a bargain and lightweight. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo it's car seat compatible so you can use it from the time of birth.

The new Pace has some fantastic design elements, including a rose-gold tint on the chassis, hood and stroller trims that really make it stand out. The stroller and car seat fabrics are fashionable in grey, tan, and cream. You can also add handles made of leather and a bumper bar to complement.

The stroller seat can be used from birth until 22kg. It easily converts to a two-in-one reversible position, either facing the parent or facing the world. The stroller seat comes with multiple lie-back positions, soft padded leg rest support and has an extendable sun canopy featuring concealed zip sections, viewing transparent flaps, and a retractable sun visor section.

When folded it's Pace is 56 33 x 43 x 32cm, which is enough to qualify as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair among other airlines. Two buttons on either side are easy utilize and press to lock it in place.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis, coupled with a shorter wheel-distance makes it more agile than its predecessor. I tried it out alongside my two kids - one a toddler and another eight-week old - across the rocky roads along woodland paths, grassy trails and even cobblestones.

The large puncture-proof wheels, which measure 22cm or 30cm in diameter are able to handle different terrains. They also come with a handy flap that opens or closes to let more air to circulate if you need it this is a nice touch. It's a bit bigger than most pushchairs, but it isn't heavy or bulky when pushing over bumpy surfaces.

The seat fabric is machine washable, and the faux leather frame and grips are easy to clean. It's also quieter than many pushchairs and I felt confident using it on busy city streets. It has built-in accessory points, so you can attach footmuffs and parasols and also changing bags, snack trays, and even snack trays. The hood can be used to block out rain and wind, however it's not waterproof. The single pram can be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) which allows your child more legroom. The bassinet took around 20 minutes to set-up, and it took about the same amount of time to convert it into an actual seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

No matter if you're enjoying a morning jog under the stars or taking a moonlit walk in the crisp air, the UPPAbaby Ridge transforms every moment into a fun experience for all. This stroller that is all-terrain designed to keep you and the child engaged.

The massive foam-filled 12" and 16 "tires give you an easy ride regardless of the terrain. And the reliable hand brake that is a performance disc lets you to stop quickly, even when jogging downhill.

From bustling farmers markets to street musicians singing, the Ridge can navigate all your city's most popular scenes effortlessly. Its large basket is big enough to hold your shopping cart and all of your baby's essentials, while the roomy canopy offers sun and wind protection. The front canopy can be unzipped to reveal two mesh peekaboos that permit you to monitor your baby.

The Ridge's reversible seat allows you to choose whether your child is facing you, or the world ahead. Its simple foot brake system makes it intuitive for parents who are just starting out. The reversible handlebar on the back is a wonderful feature that allows you to adjust it to your height. And unlike other strollers that jog, the Ridge's fold is solid and self-standing when folded.

iCandy Core

The new iCandy pushchair is packed with features that will impress parents.  double pushchair 3 wheeler  comes with a Multi-Mode Wheelbase and a pioneering LED Visibility Hub Light that is a first for the industry. It comes with an integrated Ride-on Board which helps save on future costs, and allows tired toddlers to join the family during outings.

The Core can be bought in a single unit or as a complete travel system. it is compatible with the most popular car seats from brands like Cybex, Maxi Cosi and Joie. It also comes with the largest seat unit in the iCandy range, so it will last you through your baby's early years and beyond. It's a luxuriously constructed pushchair, and it features premium knitted fabrics. The child's adjustable bumper bar and the handlebar that parents can adjust are made of soft leatherette. The calf support that folds away are also extremely comfortable for children.

I was impressed with how easy it was to fold and collapse - it only takes one hand, even with the seat unit on. It fits easily in your hallway or boot which makes it perfect to travel with. The iCandy Core includes a variety of accessories, including a matching changing rucksack or liner/footmuff.
